GRP Indore recognised by World Book of Records for Anti-Drug Awareness Initiative
Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Under the statewide “Say No to Drugs – Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0” campaign, the Government Railway Police (GRP), Indore has been honoured with a Citation Certificate from the World Book of Records, UK for its significant contribution towards promoting a drug-free society.
The certificate was formally presented by Dr. Priyanka Shukla to Yashpal Singh Rajput, IPS, Superintendent of Police, GRP Indore, and DSP Jyoti Sharma, in recognition of the campaign’s impactful public participation and awareness efforts.
As part of the initiative, a simultaneous human chain was organised across 16 railway stations under the Indore Railway Unit, including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Nagda, Neemuch, Meghnagar, Shamgarh, Biaora, Guna, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Shajapur, Maksi, Dewas, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar and Chandrawati Ganj.
A total of 4,013 participants joined the human chain and collectively took a pledge to contribute towards building a Drug-Free India. The initiative highlighted the commitment of GRP Indore and the railway community towards strengthening public awareness, encouraging responsible citizenship, and inspiring society to stay away from drugs.
