Balaghat Police honoured by World Book of Records for Massive Anti-Drug Pledge

Balaghat Police has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the World Book of Records, UK for successfully organising a one-minute anti-drug pledge involving 1,25,000 students from 1,204 schools, along with nearly 5,00,000 online participants, under the statewide “Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0” campaign in Naxal-free Balaghat.

The Certificate of Excellence was formally presented to Lalit Shakyawar, IPS, IG, in the presence of Mukesh Kumar Srivastava, IPS, DIG; Aditya Mishra, IPS, SP; Nihit Upadhyay, ASP; Adarsh Kant Shukla, ASP; and Rakesh Kumar Pendro, ASP.

The initiative marked a significant public awareness effort against drug abuse, bringing together students, educational institutions and citizens through both physical and online participation. The collective pledge reflected a strong commitment towards building a drug-free and healthier society.

Shri Kailash Makwana, IPS, DGP, congratulated Balaghat Police and the entire team on the achievement and appreciated their dedicated efforts to spread awareness against drug abuse and strengthen the message of “Say No to Drugs.”
