Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences Sets World Record with a Synchronized Tribute by 7,000 Students

Tamil Nadu, India: Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, has been adjudicated by World Book of Records for organising the largest synchronized tribute by 7,000 students on World Teachers’ Day.

On 08 October 2026, thousands of students came together on the institute’s campus to form a giant human formation displaying the message “Karunya’s TRIBUTE TO TEACHERS!” In a remarkable expression of gratitude and respect, the students also simultaneously signed specially designed appreciation cards within just 60 seconds, honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers to education and society.

The initiative celebrated the dedication, guidance and commitment of teachers while highlighting the importance of gratitude and respect within the academic community. The massive participation reflected the students’ collective appreciation for their educators and created a memorable tribute to the teaching fraternity.

World Book of Records certificate was bestowed by Chartered Officer Ankita Shah upon Dr. Elijah Blessing, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Vijay S. V., Registrar of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

The recognition marks a proud achievement for the institution and its students, celebrating their unity, coordination and heartfelt appreciation for teachers. The initiative also conveyed a powerful message about the enduring role of educators in shaping future generations and building a better society.
