Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Sets World Record for Largest Vulture Conservation Awareness Drive Engaging Over 8,000 Veterinary Professionals

Ahmedabad, India: Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has been recognized by the World Book of Records UK, for organizing the World’s Largest Vulture Conservation Awareness Drive, engaging more than 8,000 veterinary professionals across India under its ‘Power of Vet’ campaign an initiative by Intas’ flagship brands, Melonex and Maxxtol.

The nationwide movement brought together veterinarians to reaffirm their commitment to ecological safety and the protection of vulture’s nature’s vital clean-up crew. The initiative emphasized the urgent need to eliminate toxic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as diclofenac, aceclofenac, ketoprofen, and nimesulide, which have been linked to vulture population declines. As part of the campaign, thousands of participants took the Vulture-Safe Prescription Pledge, committing to use only meloxicam and tolfenamic acid, the two NSAIDs scientifically proven to be safe for vultures.
