
Dr. Gurcharan Mall BEM Sets Record with 10-Mile Dhol MLSS Charity Walk at Age 73
West Midlands, UK: In an extraordinary blend of stamina, tradition, and service, Dr. Gurcharan Mall BEM, aged 73, has created history by becoming the first person to complete a 10-mile MLSS Charity Walk while continuously playing the dhol, the iconic Punjabi percussion instrument. Starting from Gurunanak Gurdwara, Walsall, and concluding at Singh’s in Birmingham, the walk captured the hearts of spectators and participants alike. Dr. Mall’s rhythmic journey through the streets of West Midlands was not only a test of physical endurance but also a powerful expression of cultural pride and commitment to social causes.

A widely respected cultural ambassador and an iconic figure in the UK’s South Asian community, Dr. Mall undertook this unique challenge to raise awareness and support for ongoing charitable initiatives. The walk was organized in collaboration with The Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) and supported by dignitaries including Shahzad Khan Raja (Barrister & CEO), Raj Tripathi (WBR Official), Randhir Singh (CEO MLSS), and Gurbax Singh Flora (CEO Flora Motors).
