- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State BJP President Manmohan Samal receives World Book of Records certificate
Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Odisha, conducted a mega blood donation camp on 17 September 2026 at the IDCO Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar, collecting 8,810 units of blood in a single day, at a single location, through a single camp and organisation. The achievement was recognized from World Book of Records.
The blood donation drive was organized under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, a month-long initiative launched in Odisha on September 17. The event also marked the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The organisers had set a target of 6,500 units, while the final collection reached 8,810 units. The campaign was conducted under the leadership of BJYM Odisha State President Abhilash Panda, with the participation and supervision of senior state leaders.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State BJP President Manmohan Samal were present at the programme. The Chief Minister highlighted voluntary blood donation as an important form of social service and urged young people to contribute time towards community welfare and nation-building. The achievement was presented as part of Odisha’s wider efforts to encourage voluntary blood donation and strengthen blood availability across the state.
