
Hon’ble Amit Shah Home Minister of India presented the World Book of Records certificate to the Bar Council of Gujarat
– 11,600 new advocates took oath together under one roof included in World Book of Records
Ahmedabad – With a pledge of dedication and devotion to justice, the Gujarat Bar Council created a new history on 9 March 2025. More than 11 thousand young advocates created a world record by taking oath simultaneously at the oath taking ceremony held in Gandhinagar. On this historic occasion, the Home Minister Hon’ble Amit Shah, was present as the chief guest and he called it a golden day for the judicial system of Gujarat. Home Minister of the Government of India Hon’ble Amit Shah presented the World Book of Records certificate to the Chairman of the Bar Council of Gujarat Hon’ble J.J. Patel.
This certificate was given for the world record of 11,600 new advocates taking oath simultaneously, which is a historic achievement in the judicial history of India. Many eminent personalities including Gujarat Chief Minister Hon’ble Bhupendrabhai Patel, Law Minister Hon’ble Rishikesh Patel, Bar Council of India Chairman and MP Hon’ble Manan Mishra, Senior Advocate Hon’ble Ashwin Trivedi, Solicitor General Hon’ble Tushar Mehta and Advocate General Hon’ble Kamal Trivedi were present at this grand ceremony. All of them appreciated this extraordinary achievement and congratulated the new lawyers.
Chairman of World Book of Records and Senior Advocate Hon’ble Santosh Shukla described this achievement as an important moment for the Indian judicial system. He said that such a large number of advocates taking oath together is a matter of pride not only for Gujarat but for the whole of India. This historic event has added a new chapter towards making the judicial system of India more strong. This achievement will prove to be inspirational for the new advocates and will encourage them to perform their duties with full devotion and dedication.
Home Minister Amit Shah stated, today is a historic day not only for Gujarat but for the judicial scenario of the entire country. These young lawyers will further strengthen the foundation of democracy and protect the constitutional rights of citizens. Discussing the three new criminal laws implemented by the Modi government, he said that these lawyers will become the sentinels of the modern justice system.
