Indore/Madhya Pradesh/India : Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College (MGM) has made history by being included in the prestigious World Book of Records for operating Central India’s largest Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. The 10-bedded facility has successfully carried out 85 bone marrow transplants — all free of cost — under the initiative of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. This achievement marks a significant milestone in accessible cancer care and life-saving treatment for underprivileged patients.
A grand felicitation ceremony was held to commemorate the occasion, graced by prominent dignitaries including Union Minister of Government of India Mansukh Madaviya, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Cabinet Minister Tulsi Silawat, Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani and Dr. Sumit Shukla and Advocate Santosh Shukla were present during the ceremony.
