Indian Association of Physiotherapist sets World Record with Largest Gathering of Physiotherapists
- Historic gathering at Yashobhoomi brings together the global physiotherapy fraternity in New Delhi
New Delhi: The Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP), Mumbai, Maharashtra has been included for organising World’s Largest Gathering of Physiotherapists Fraternity at a Single Venue, held from 26 September 2026 to 27 September 2026. The landmark gathering brought together the physiotherapy fraternity at a single venue, creating a significant platform for professional interaction, knowledge exchange and collaboration. The event highlighted the growing role of physiotherapists in healthcare, rehabilitation and wellness while showcasing the strength and unity of the profession in India and across the global physiotherapy community.

The achievement was formally recognized by World Book of Records, marking a notable milestone for the Indian Association of Physiotherapist and the wider physiotherapy fraternity. The certificate was bestowed by World Book of Records Chartered Officer Abhishek Kaushik to Dr Ruchi Varshney, Organising Secretary, in the presence of leading representatives and dignitaries from the profession at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention and Expo Centre, New Delhi. The occasion was attended by Dr Sanjiv K. Jha, President, Indian Association of Physiotherapist; Dr Michel Landry, President, World Physiotherapy; Prof. Marco Pang, Chair, World Physiotherapy AWP; Dr Yagna Shukla; Dr K. M. Annamalai; and Dr Nehal Shah.

The recognition celebrates the exceptional scale of the gathering and the collective participation of physiotherapy professionals. Bringing the fraternity together at Yashobhoomi also reflected the growing international profile of physiotherapy and its contribution to modern healthcare.
