Renowned Folk Singer Darshana Vyas Honoured by World Book of Records UK

Mehsana/Gujarat: Famous folk singer Darshana Vyas, popularly known as the Khelaiya Garba Queen, was honoured by World Book of Records UK at a service camp in Ambaji. The certificate of honour was presented by Dr. Ashwinbhai Trivedi, Advocate and President of World Book of Records, Gujarat.

Darshana Vyas has been performing as a folk singer for the last 33 years, earning fame in Gujarat as well as across India and abroad. She first rose to prominence with the Khelaiya Garba cassette. For the last 22 years, at the Ambaji service camp organized by US-based philanthropist Hiteshbhai Patel’s group, she has been performing Garba along with Vipul Panchiwala of Pancham Musical Group to serve and entertain pilgrims on their journey to Ambaji.

This selfless service was appreciated at the award function, which was attended by District Public Prosecutor Hitesh Rawal, Bar Council member Shankar Singh Gohil, Advocate Vikramsinh Solanki, Ramesh Patel, and Pradeepsinh Vaghela, along with World Book representative Varsha Trivedi. A large number of pilgrims were present to congratulate Darshana Vyas. Santosh Shukla, CEO World Book of Records, also extended his congratulations.
