Nandamuri Balakrishna will Honoured by World Book of Records, UK for 50 Years in Films

Hyderabad/India: Telugu cinema legend Nandamuri Balakrishna will honoured by World Book of Records, UK Gold Edition for completing 50 glorious years in the film industry. He becomes the first Telugu actor to achieve this global recognition.

Balakrishna, who made his debut with Tatamma Kala in 1974, has acted in more than 100 films including Annadammula, Sahasame Jeevitham, Kathanayakudu, Veera Simha Reddy, and Daaku Maharaaj. His contribution was lauded by Santosh Shukla, CEO World Book of Records, as “an inspiration to millions” and “a golden benchmark in global cinema”.

His daughter, Brahmani Nara, congratulated him, calling him “a true force of nature” and “an icon on and off screen.” Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised him as “a golden chapter in Indian film history”.

Balakrishna, who recently received the Padma Bhushan, is currently working on Akhanda 2: Thaandavam and a project with Gopichand Malineni.
