K. P. Venkateshwar Rao

World Book of Records hosted its 8th Awards Ceremony at the historic UK Parliament, London, honouring global achievers for their outstanding contributions to society. Among the distinguished awardees K. P. Venkateshwar Rao, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, who represented the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and DGP Kailash Makwana, Rao spearheaded the impactful 16-day drug awareness campaign “Say No to Drugs – नशे से दूरी है जरूरी”, conducted from 15 to 30 July 2025. The initiative spanned 57 districts and 1,175 police stations, directly reaching 22.29 lakh individuals and garnering 6.35 crore views on social media, marking a milestone in public awareness efforts against substance abuse.

The ceremony opened with a tribute to the Late Lord Swarj Paul and the release of World Book of Records Magazine 2025. CEO Adv. Santosh Shukla, in his keynote, stressed the importance of unity and social responsibility. The gathering was graced by prominent figures from the UK, India and Uganda, including Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda; Lokesh Nara, Minister for HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Uganda; Lord Rami Ranger, Member of the House of Lords, United Kingdom; Virendra Sharma, Former British MP, Senior Leader of the Labour Party, UK; and HH Rajrajeshwar Guruji, Spiritual Leader & Founder International Siddhashram Shakti Centre, London, United Kingdom.

Over 30 achievers from India, Uganda, Nepal, Romania, Singapore, the UAE and UK were honoured for their contributions in healthcare, education, business, social service, sustainability and community development. Directed by Mahendrasinh C. Jadeja, the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Suchita Shukla and a networking, marking another milestone in the global journey of World Book of Records.
