India Habitat Centre to be Recorded in the World Book of Records under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India

New Delhi: The prestigious India Habitat Centre (IHC), located in Delhi, is set to be inscribed in World Book of Records for its unique identity and remarkable contributions. This achievement highlights IHC’s pivotal role as a hub of culture, art, environment, and knowledge exchange for decades.

Established in 1993 on Lodhi Road and designed by renowned architect Joseph Allen Stein, the India Habitat Centre has become a landmark not only for national and international conferences, cultural festivals, theatre, music, and dance performances, but also as the headquarters of several important institutions including HUDCO, TERI, NIUA, and CSE.

Functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs and in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, IHC has continuously promoted art, literature, and intellectual dialogue through its cultural wing Habitat World.

Its recognition in the World Book of Records is a global acknowledgment of IHC’s strong role and invaluable contribution to society.
