EduSkills and AICTE Enter World Book of Records for Internship Initiative

The programme was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, CEO of Anuvadini AI and Chief Coordinating Officer of AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India; Prof. Dr. K. K. Agrawal, President of South Asian University (SAARC) and Chief Mentor of EduSkills; Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE; Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Former Union Minister of State for Education; and Dr. Shubhajit Jagadev, CEO of EduSkills Foundation.

New Delhi – EduSkills Foundation, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has achieved a remarkable feat by being included in the prestigious World Book of Records, London. The recognition is for jointly conducting five lakh internships over a span of three years, culminating on September 25, 2024. The inclusion was officially announced during an inauguration ceremony held on September 27, 2024, in New Delhi. The official certificate of recognition was handed over by Abhishek Kaushik and Mohit Sharma, officials from the World Book of Records. The programme highlighted the successful collaboration between EduSkills and AICTE in enhancing internship opportunities for students across India, significantly contributing to skill development in the country. The initiative involved participation from 87 colleges across India, all of which received participation certificates during the programme. Furthermore, 14 multinational companies that partnered in the internship program were also recognized for their contributions. The announcement was made by Santosh Shukla, President & CEO of the World Book of Records, who acknowledged the effort and impact of this large-scale internship program, aimed at bridging the skill gap in India’s technical education sector.  This milestone marks a significant achievement for both EduSkills Foundation and AICTE in their mission to empower students with practical industry experience and support India’s goal of becoming a global leader in skill development.
