World Book of Records to Host Prestigious Award Function in Kathmandu, Nepal on October 8, 2024

Kathmandu, Nepal – The World Book of Records (WBR) is all set to host its grand award function on October 8, 2024, Kathmandu, Nepal. The prestigious event will honor renowned personalities from various fields for their outstanding contributions on both national and international levels. Santosh Shukla, President & CEO of the World Book of Records, will be the Chief Guest of the event.

Among the awardees, legendary actress Manisha Koirala will receive the prestigious Asia Pacific Magnum Award 2024. She will be joined by other illustrious personalities, including acclaimed hotel entrepreneur and author Karna Shakya, and legendary actress Mithila Sharma.

The event will also honor prominent figures like:

– Dr. Bishal Kumar Sitaula, a professor and scientist at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU)

– Deepak Jangam, legendary music composer

– Dr. BasuDev Krishna Shastri and Dr. Bijuli Prasad Timsina, astrologers and spiritual leaders

– Rabindra Jung Lamichane, entrepreneur based in London, U.K.

– Dr. Subash Ghimire, senior oral maxillofacial surgeon

– Dr. Raju Paudel, neurologist

– Jagat Kumar Bhusal, senior hydrologist

– Purushottam Nepali, mountaineer and Nepal Police personnel from Lukla, Solukhumbu

– Vishwa Maskey, entrepreneur

– Dr. Ram Kant Makaju Shrestha, founder of Dhulikhel Hospital

– Dr. Manohar Lal Shrestha, senior surgeon

In a heartfelt tribute, posthumous awards will be presented to the late Dr. Rishi Ram Koirala, senior consultant Ayurveda physician, Dr. Upendra Devkota, senior neurosurgeon, and Lamu Amatya, Nepal’s first nurse and founder of the country’s first nursing school. Several entrepreneurs and social leaders will also be acknowledged with Certificates of Appreciation, including Anila Shrestha, Anjan Bhattarai, Sakun Rasailie BK, Shila Bishwakarma Nepali, and Prakash Kaji Shakya, along with Aashis Giri (Aasis Beats), a multi-platinum music producer, and Samata Hospital for its exceptional service.

The event will also feature recognition of key figures in various fields like media, social activism, and design, with honors going to Rojin Shakya (media personality), Santosh Sapkota (international event designer), and many more. The event announcement was made by Sagar Katwal, President of World Book of Records Nepal, who expressed his pride in hosting such an esteemed international function in the capital city, celebrating remarkable talents and achievements.
