Shree Mulund Swetambar Murtipujak Jain Sangh recognised by World Book of Records for Largest Collective Pachkhan Gathering
Mumbai, Maharashtra: A historic spiritual gathering was organised by Shree Mulund Swetambar Murtipujak Jain Sangh at Nirmal Lifestyle Mall, Mulund, Mumbai, under the divine guidance and blessings of Acharya Bhagwant Param Pujya Rajratnasuri Maharaj Saheb. More than 6,000 Jain devotees (Shravaks and Shravikas) came together simultaneously to undertake the sacred Pachkhan, a religious oath committing them to fasting and spiritual discipline.
Devotees pledged to observe fasting ranging from a minimum of three days (Attham) to an extended thirty-day Masakshaman, dedicated to spiritual well-being (Atmakalyan), self-purification and world peace. The remarkable gathering has been recognised by World Book of Records, as the largest gathering of Jain devotees simultaneously undertaking the sacred Pachkhan.
The initiative reflects the Jain principles of penance, discipline, forgiveness, compassion and spiritual upliftment. World Book of Records Certificate was formally bestowed by WBR Chartered Officer Divyang Gandhi to Shree Mulund Swetambar Murtipujak Jain Sangh, marking the historic achievement. The ceremony witnessed the enthusiastic participation of devotees from several Jain Sanghs and communities, creating a deeply spiritual and devotional atmosphere.
The collective commitment to fasting and Atmakalyan transformed the occasion into a powerful message of faith, self-discipline and universal peace. The recognition by World Book of Records adds an important global dimension to this extraordinary Jain spiritual endeavour and celebrates the collective devotion of thousands of participants.
